Stratatech to collaborate with Fortune 200 company on product development
MADISON, Wis., January 11, 2010 – Stratatech Corp. today announced that it has entered into a collaborative agreement with a Fortune 200 consumer products company to develop an advanced skin care product. The aim of the collaboration is to create a product that prevents skin wounds by enhancing the resiliency of compromised or susceptible skin. The product will be based on extracts from Stratatech’s bioengineered, living human skin tissue that expresses biologically active factors to promote healthy skin.
All of Stratatech’s skin tissue products are based on a proprietary source of clinically-tested keratinocyte cells that produce a number of factors thought to augment native skin function and accelerate wound healing. Extracts from these proprietary cells that enhance skin health will be incorporated into a topical formulation to create a product that can be used to protect aged or compromised skin.
